Paul Barrow, 38, who features on the wing for the opposition, faced ex- Wigan defender Figueroa on Sunday - and had to tell his nine-year-old boy who Heskey was.

"I felt I was a little awestruck facing him to be honest.

"Also Emile [Heskey] got on and he's got 60-odd England appearances.

"Our side competed well for a solid 20 minutes but then we had a man sent off and it was hard.

"We really have not stopped chatting about it - I was calling my mother and sibling on the way home.

"They were all friendly, shaking our hands after the match - it was like playing a group of normal fellas.

"Now we are eager for the second fixture."
